It took longer than I expected to arrive, ordered 23 April, arrived 2nd May. This is not the handle described in the advert. Definitely not fibreglass and not black and red, more like a hard black thermo plastic. I used a flap disc to shape the end to fit my ax head, and the plastic was melting under the disc. That said, when I fitted it, (finishing the job under a 20 tonne press), it seems secure and quite strong. I have a bamboo root to remove....Time will tell. Vollständige Rezension lesen

Better than wood!
Hefty and strong and no need for the lengthy process with a hickory handle of whittling down to fit the mattock head. Just slip on the mattock head, a couple of taps on the ground and its on. It also has a non-slip grip and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. As a final thought, as it is fibreglass, the head will not loosen when it dries out as they tend to with wooden handles.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Don't bother with a wooden handle, get this instead.
Turned up on time. Appears to be an excellent replacement. It seems to be much stronger than a wooden handle and should last and last, and only about £2 more expensive. Much heavier than wooden handle. Good buy!Vollständige Rezension lesen

Way better than expected

It does no fit the grubbing tool we have sure it is good quality different to what was discribed will keep it as cost to much to return will probably use sometime
