Author not fully recognised?

This author was recommended to me by my cousin as she writes about a forensic archaeologist in Norfolk (the Ruth Galloway series of 8 books) and they are excellent. I have now discovered this new series of Stephens and Mephisto novels set in 1950's Brighton. they are very different but equally absorbing light detective mysteries. I can't understand why her books are not more readily found.

Characters you get to know and like.

Well written with rich characters and atmospheric settings. I am a big Galloway fan and these Brighton books are just as good. To me it's the characters that make a good story but there is so much more including good sprinkling of humour and location details. A most enjoyable read and great value. Zig zag girl ...a great read

Easy to read, set in a familiar area of England in an age that I can relate to. Likeable characters. Fun guessing who the perpetrator is.

Time of Change

The author takes you back to the 1950s when the country is adjusting to the new technology that is developing & the changing attitudes of a generation who were not old enough to fight & those who did.
