Steve Martin is the man, not only eloquent in speech, he builds others up, while wishing, he were normal! Darryl Hannah, is after her professorship, to get a comet passing by, to be recognised, would mean it would be named
after her, and she would become a professor in astronomy, through a chance meeting, she enters the world of
CB, (steve Martin), at first she is taken aback by his nose problem....but it doeswnt bother him, because he is captivated by Hannah, anothr intellect in the town of Nelson Colorado. Soon Rick Rossovich (Top Gun) shows up,
he is mesmerized by Darryl hannah, and uses CB to get into her bedroom, later we learn dixie (shelley DuVall) is

Roxanne, set in the BC town of Nelson, is a brilliant & hilarious adaptation of Leo Rosten's turn of the last century theatrical vision of Cyrano de Bergerac, whose nose wasn't quite that big. Steve Martin again examines deeper questions of identity & ethics through a comic lens; & Darryl Hannah is an ideal counterfoil. Don't know why some of the big guys aren't streaming this movie. As much fun to watch now as in its day. Steve Martin & Darryl Hannah...great cast. A date night delight. Firefighters will appreciate.

I always loved this movie. When I got Cyrano remembered this title. I was so happy to be able to get it on EBay.

Still funny after al these years

20 years later, Martin seems old for a romantic lead. Funny though, still funny, enduringly funny.

It’s missing the dvd case but it works fine

The movie is great. The only minus is that it doesn’t have a proper dvd case but the movie posts just fine and is in good condition.

Classic Steve Martin

Funny and Classic

Funny. What a great variation/remake of Cyrano we Bergerac. The bar scene with the 20 "come back comments" is classic.

Disc damaged

We love the movie; however the disc was damaged.
We missed the entire scene under the balcony!!!
