Bought to use for some gigs where higher volumes were not needed. Stock speaker is weak. Replaced it with a Fender/Eminence speaker from a Deluxe Reverb. No more bottom end farts, and the high end cleaned up as well. Many different voices, but only one useable for me: the Tweed Deluxe. Fender Champion 40

This amp has great clean sound. It sounds like a fender twin reverb. The overdrive and distortion tones are also good. It goes from slight overdrive to searing metal distortion. The effects are also high quality. I'd imagine this amp to be great for recording. But it is all around. It can be used for jamming, practicing, and recording. The speaker seems to be average. A Lot for a Little

This is a rerrific buy for a small amp. It has enough power for both practice and small venue use. And it has features found in more expensive amps! Gotta love it!

Great lightweight & versitile amp!

Not only is this amp the lightest one I've ever owned with a 12" speaker but it sounds great! I bought a 2 button foot pedal to change from clean to lead channel and off & on special effects. This amp sounds and works excellent with plenty of power to play with a small band. I definitely recommend this amp to anyone who doesn't need a huge amplifier!Vollständige Rezension lesen

Fender 40w with 12" speaker amp

I was looking for a amplifier that I could use for practice, and this Fender 40w amp is perfect for my needs. It was as described, not a nick or scratch on the amp, not a speck of dust either.

The only thing I will change on the amp is the speaker, as users in the Fender forums recommend installing Eminance Fender 12" speaker to get an even better sound.

Best bang for the buck!

All the great Fender tones modeled in one unit. Big sound and great effects. Can't wait to purchase the pedal to go with it. This was actually bought as a second. I have two of them and it's definitely one of the best solid state amps you can get, imo.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Fender has pretty much nailed tube amp modeling...

The real test of tube amp modeling isn't wide open wailing on a guitar - it's touch response and how it reacts to input gain variation and the volume control on the guitar. I've always been obsessive about my guitar tone and usually the best I can do is find something I'm marginally satisfied with. I bought one of these without trying one first as a practice amp (getting back into playing after a many-year hiatus) and planned to use my trusty pedal board, so I wasn't too concerned about the amp models. Suffice it to say that my pedal board is now irrelevant and I have zero desire to own another tube amp (have owned Marshalls, Hiwatts, tube Fenders etc.). If I decide to start gigging again I'll buy a Champion 100 without giving it a second thought.

I guess it should be no surprise that the company who set the standard for guitar amp tone a half century ago has figured out how to make solid state sound not just good, but stunningly good.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Sweet amplifier

Its a great value ,it as a super good sound ,i just love -it , easy to carry around and enough power to play in a band ,even if the drummer is load , you crank up this baby and the drummer probleme is solved

OLD SCHOOL

This amp rings clear as a bell. Chords are CHUNKY and clear. Notes are also. IT HAS GREAT TONE! The cab Sim works super. The volume drops when you switch to TWEED!
The EFFECTS work great and blend both channels real gives super response.
I'm 67 and played TWINS, sUNNS even had a VOX BUCKINGHAM-lol. This AMP is the real deal. NO REGRETS buying this amp. SWEETWATER has outstanding service. I've never seen an amp so perfectly packed.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Decent little Amp

Has A good solid sound. haven't played it with a group yet so don't know how it will carry with other instruments. the one flaw I see is no pre amp out but I suppose the headphone out will do. for $160 to my door its ok for what I do, nice and clean.Vollständige Rezension lesen
