A must have
The D-Tuna is a definite must have if you do any drop d tuning with a Floyd Rose bridge. Make sure that you have it stabilized if you are going to use one though. Mine is a full floater and I am using it with a Hipshot Trem-setter that is tightened up almost as tight as it will go. It is best used with either a surface mount or a Tremel-no system. I would not recommend using it on a floater without some sort of heavy stabilization. Once it is set it does exactly what it is advertised to do and drops your top string from E to D in less than a second. I absolutely love it.
P.S. Since mine is a full floater I needed to route the body under the D-Tuna in order to be able to pull up as it is pretty bulky and sticks out farther than the other locking bolts.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Spend more time playing!
It’s great to have if you don’t have an arsenal of guitars to switch between tunings. Pull the trigger, a couple of twists on the fine tuners and you’re good! I don’t know how well it works on other locking tremolos? But it fits and works great on my Floyd Rose knock-off. Perfect Drop-D in an instant
I just purchased a second one of these for a new-to-me '88 Ibanez Saber. Have had one on my '87 Saber for years. Works flawlessly once it's set up properly. Very cool product, easy to install. Didn't realize I needed to block my trem but had a 3/4" block of wood that fit perfect to prevent my Floyd from pulling up. It stays in tune when switching back and forth from drop d and dives still work.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Works As Advertised
Pretty clever. The spring hid in the packaging, so I didn't initially install it. Works either way, but it rattles in D if it's absent. My bridge plate is angled towards the endpin, so the extra length of the D-Tuner means I have less tuning adjustment range, as the space between the end of the unit and the face of the guitar is now the limiting factor. I could fix it by shimming the bridge level, or shimming the neck so that the bridge was flat when the action was readjusted. Vinnie's problem with it.
I'll start by saying it could've been me I guess but I just could not get it in the drop D mode, no matter how hard I tried to get it there. The E was never an issue but by lightly lifting then pulling the D-Tuna out it would 100% of the time be just a little off, either D# or F2f and never just plain D. I pre-streched the strings and stretched them again before tuning and got the results I just mentioned. AGAIN: It very well could have been me being the problem but by following the instructions, I don't know how. Therefore, I wouldn't get it. And I hate to say that because Eddie, is the reason I started my first band and still play in bands today, 36 years later. Sorry, Ed. Easy to Install, Easy to Use.
Great for instant drop D tuning. If you have a stop on your tremolo just install the D-tuna and you're all set. If you have a floater and still want to pull high, you need something like the Rockinger Black Box to hold the tune when dropped to D and allow you to still pull high. Why don't you have one?
If you have a Floyd on your guitar and want to do drop-d tuning and normal, you gotta get this. Works as advertised, super easy to install, easy to use. Best thing since sliced bread.

Good, but not perfect
So, I have been wanting to add one of these to my Jackson for quite some time. I finally pulled the trigger, and I was expecting more from it. I was a little skeptical about whether this would allow me to go from E-Standard to Drop-D with just a pull of the D-Tuna. My skepticism was spot on. It doesn't put you in perfect tune for both tunings. That really disappointed me. When I want E-Standard I have to use the fine tuner on my Flyod Rose to get it close to E-Standard and when I want Drop-D, I have to back the fine tuner all the way back to get D tuned in. Solved my problems
Easy fast switch from Drop D to E and back. What a nice product. I never expected that would solve my problems so nice. Always wanted to use my floyd rose guitar for Drop D Tunes. Now I can.
