Great Deal!

It came very clean with remote and batteries, plus a full printout of instructions on how to use the CD/radio/alarm. That was much appreciated because I believe this model is at least 10 years old. Sound is Outstanding!

The sound of the Wave is excellent by any objective standard. No, it does not sound like a system with a receiver and separate speakers strategically placed for optimal stereo separation. If you want that, that's what you need to buy. But for a very small one-piece with a clock, the sound is outstanding.

The controls on the remote are very intuitive and clearly marked, without the usual crowded and confusing array of buttons, most of which you'll never use. Setting up the Wave consists of getting it out of the box, plugging it in, setting the time, and turning it on. You can also connect an external audio source using a mini-jack input on the back of the Wave. I have an iPod connected to the Wave using the mini-jack, and the sound is just as good as the FM.

Some reviewers have also complained about the lack of tone controls. You definitely should listen to the Wave before buying one, and if you do not like the sound, don't buy it. If you do like the sound, you will not want to adjust the tone. If you cannot listen to your music without constantly adjusting the tone, do not buy the Wave.

The things I like most about the Wave besides the sound quality are the design and the ease of use. The remote and the display are simple and logical, the way they should be. The user's guide is thorough, direct, and concise, and you won't need to keep referring to it. The focus here is not on pushing a lot of buttons, it's on listening to the music. The Wave has the features most people will want, without a lot of extras that very few people would ever use. The Wave is small and will fit just about anywhere you want to put it, without drawing attention to itself. For me, it was worth every penny.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Bose Wave Radio RATE AND REVIEW BOSE WAVE Clock Radio CD AWRC1G w/pedestal.

Good sound quality. The pedestal base is not as helpful and I thought. From the pictures I thought there were USB ports on the front. Turns out they are lights that illuminate when additional products are plugged into the back via audio/video cords.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Excellent but missing a few necessary options.

Bose has always made great sounding and RF sensitive radios. Altho I think they are a bit base heavy. The only 2 options I need that are missing are a headphone jack so I can listen and not disturb the wife unit and an external AM antenna input connection.Vollständige Rezension lesen

We are very pleased with our player! It came ready to play and has a great sound plus all the little things like battery backup, remote control, Cables, and even new little rubber feet on the bottom .

I'VE NEVER HEARD SUCH A THING!"

I recently visited with a friend who lives in a large city. [Being in the city, there were very strong FM signals.] As we sat, conversing in the living room, we were surrounded by a soft volume of deep, rich music with very crisp, clear highs and lows. I looked around to see if I could see the radio...nothing. I looked for speaker grills in the ceiling, there were none. I asked "Where is that music coming from?". My friend replied, "Oh, that's my Bose Wave Radio out in the kitchen. Don't you just love how it sounds?" Within 18 hours of returning back to my home, I had My Bose Wave Radio ordered online. It is now the center-piece of my entertainment center. The Remote Control was also well worth the investment (aftermarket $12.00 item). The Bose comes with an F Connector External Antenna Jack on the back. I have to use an antenna, here in the mountains.., and it pulls in the distant stations just fine. Enjoying my Bose radio and CD player!

I was given a Bose radio in the mid 80's from my brother and it still works great! I wanted to be able to play my CD's as well so got the Bose radio with CD player.
