The way Stratego ought to be experienced.

Simple, elegant product design: Plastic pieces stand upright, metallic-embossed character icons fit the military theme and look like soldiers and ranks from the 19th century (rather than cartoony types), overall look matches the "strategy" concept brilliantly, unlike many of the modern reboots. Gameplay is classic stratego (lowest number = highest rank), which is refreshing. It was like going back in time.

still a great game!

Great classic game of strategy! Still fun 40 years later, got it for my kids and they love it too! Can't beat the classics!

60 years of fun, memory and suspense.

The game is over 60 years old and still exciting to play. Memory, Suspense, Planning. Not complicated like chess, but strategy is important.

It's a classic

If you like Strategy this is the version to get. Go for the classic. The new game has a smaller board, flimsy pieces... it's just not the same, not by a long shot.

Great strategic board game!

I am surprised this game isn’t more common. It’s fun to strategize and moves along well. My family and I have greatly enjoyed playing it during this stay at home time.

Blast from the past

I remember playing this with my brother growing up. I saw that the more modern releases were different…quad fold board instead of bifold, and the pieces had stickers on them.
