On Heavy Rotation for Beginners
2 von 2 finden das hilfreich Sound quality is good, not hi-fi, but definitely adequate. It looks like it was transfered from tape to DVD, but at least you can skip through chapters and there's a menu (I've bought a few DVD's that don't do this, but they were for Ballet...) Paul spends some time explaining the rhythm technique and then jumps right in to some sample progressions. There are a few full-out songs included where you get to play the backup chords, which are included in the accompanying chord booklet. Though easy to read, it isn't easy to tell when you should be using which progression (they're numbered in the booklet but not always mentioned on the film). After I get the relatively few, but essential rhythm techniques covered in volume 1, I'm looking to get the sequel (which focuses on lead-guitar techniques). A good buy for the asking price on eBay.

The way Stratego ought to be experienced.
Simple, elegant product design: Plastic pieces stand upright, metallic-embossed character icons fit the military theme and look like soldiers and ranks from the 19th century (rather than cartoony types), overall look matches the "strategy" concept brilliantly, unlike many of the modern reboots. Gameplay is classic stratego (lowest number = highest rank), which is refreshing. For a cardboard / plastic boardgame from the late 1970s, the particular box I rec'd is in excellent condition, which is good, because this version beats all subsequent versions hands-down.
