The Omni-Bounces are great products if you understand the limitations and the purpose of the product. It is a great portable diffuser to soften and spread the light from a flash head. It will rob much of the illumination as well, that is to say, the harshness will diminish but it will probably will not be as strongly lit. It will not diffuse the light over a large area, it is not really a reflector that way. But it does make the light more pleasing for portraits. It hardly ever comes off my flash head, and since I usually use my flash on manual anyway, I can dial in more power when needed.
