Pretty cool looking watch for the Star Wars fan
The Super Unit from Nixon is a pretty rugged watch if you are looking for an alternative to the Casio G-Shock. It's a bit more stylish, although, like a lot of Nixon watches, tends to be on the bulkier side. The "moon phase" display has been changed into a Death Star, and the colors on the dial to show the running seconds is reminiscent of the markers on Darth Vader's chest unit. I'll probably not wear it and use it as a collector's piece, but if you can get it at a good discount from ebay, it is probably a good buy.

Wasn't sure what to expect and for the most part, I'm happy with the purchase but you should know a few things...
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich This is the first easyCover I've ever bought. Mostly, I take pretty good care of my cameras so I don't worry too much about a scratch or two. But my newest camera was in the $5,000 range, so I decided that maybe I would try and get something better than covering my camera with gaffer's tape. So, the easyCover is pretty good in that it doesn't cover any of the buttons or ports or covers/door that need to be accessed. Secondly, the rubber is labeled, so for example the Mode button and text is covered over by the cover, but on the easyCover, it has a circle for the button with the word Mode written where it is on the Canon. I was really pleasantly surprised to see that the bottom plate by the tripod mount has a space big enough to mount a RRS or Kirk plate. The rubber doesn't interfere with that at all. It is sometimes hard to read the text on the rubber easyCover in lower light, but I'm supposed to have those buttons memorized anyway. It is a little looser than I thought it was going to be. Don't expect some kind of skin-tight, painted-on cover kind of thing. First of all, there are so may openings and areas that easyCover takes pains to avoid (like the LED screen, cutouts for buttons etc..) that of course in some areas where the rubber connections are thinner, it will slide around a little. Secondly, it would be impossible to put on if it were a really tight rubber with very little give. So, there is some play in areas around the camera sometimes when you grab the body or shift your hands on the grip or something. But it is sort of minor and didn't bother me because the cover has never gotten in the way during a shoot. It doesn't intrude anywhere near the shutter release buttons (regular or vertical grip) or the back button focus button, doesn't get in the way of the CF card door at all, and protects the flash foot by a rubber cover that slides into the foot. I did have to make an alteration in it, though. My Canon EOS-1 DX with GPS unit attached did not work with the cover on. I eventually used an exacto knife and cut away the parts that interfered with the mounting of the GPS unit. That took about 10 minutes of work with an sharp exacto knife. Now the GPS unit is installed and the easyCover is back on.

Be sure you understand what the purpose and limitations of this product are.
The Omni-Bounces are great products if you understand the limitations and the purpose of the product. It is a great portable diffuser to soften and spread the light from a flash head. It will rob much of the illumination as well, that is to say, the harshness will diminish but it will probably will not be as strongly lit. It will not diffuse the light over a large area, it is not really a reflector that way. But it does make the light more pleasing for portraits. It hardly ever comes off my flash head, and since I usually use my flash on manual anyway, I can dial in more power when needed. The Sto-Fen website has a good explanation of the uses of the Omni-Bounce.
