Ernie Ball Flatwound Strings

Having used Ernie Ball strings and hearing good reports about these Flatwound Bass strings I had no worries about trying them. The strings are good quality and have a really smooth feel, so no more sore fingers. they are however thinner strings than I normally use on my bass so take a bit of getting use to. The sound quality is crisp and clear and they have transformed my Ibanez Bass and made it great to play. Out of all my basses this is the only one with Ernie Ball flatwounds and they do perform well, I have had to re adjust my bass neck a little but the effort has been well worth it.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Sound good but they get rusty after 2 weeks

Bought the strings after trying them on a friend's bass, the sound is amazing at first but unfortunately they got totally rusty in a couple of weeks, no intensive playing (couple of sweaty gigs on this bass, and strings always cleaned after every gig, bass wasn't left in damp rooms etc).
If you like to change strings every 2 weeks get them, they sound amazing.
