Topeak Alien
This tool is not light and its not cheap as many bicycle multi-tools but for me its proven essential about a dozen times over the last ten or so years on the road.
When I recently lost mine and went through the literally hundred or so bicycle options only to repurchase the Alien again. The upgrades seem quite reasonable with the current version.
Here's the rub, many lighter tools do not contain, a knife, a chain breaker, tire levers, and a bottle opener. I've used the chain breaker two times on the road, the knife tire levers, and the bottle opener hundreds of times as well so I guess that its worth the extra weight. I use the tool in regular service as well, partly just to make sure I would have whatever I need on the road and with this more frequent use this has mostly held up for many years too.

A Great bicycle tool
This tool has all the fold-out bits that one needs on the road to take care of wheel truing, derailleur, and brake adjustments along with other incidental repairs that do not involve larger fasteners. When retruing a wheel I found the 3.5 sided spoke wrench to be capable of turning stuck nipples where a traditional wrench just rounded off the flats. The tool is nicely laid out with nifty features. The two halves of the tool are clipped together with a so-so latch, but that does not detract from how cool the Alien II is.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Must Have Tool for Bikers
I didn't want to review an item based on using it in the garage. Everything works when you are at home. Well this item works great on the road. Had to make an emergency repair 12 miles out and this tool performed very well. Nice that it "breaks" into two units. Makes it very easy to use. Great Multi-tool

This tool is a jewel!
The Topeak Alien Ii. This is a wonderful multitool designed for the avid cyclist.
As a cyclist you KNOW that things happen: screws slowly come loose, bolts seize, your tires get punctured. Heck, your bottle cages start making a racket!
With the Alien II you have nearly all the tools you need to handle an emergency. Loose spokes? There's a couple spoke wrenches. Your pedals need tightening? There's a pedal wrench that'll help you tighten them until you get home and pull out the big wrenches. Heck, there's a chain tool that'll help you get home should you break your chain at any moment.
A small package at an extremely affordable price! Look, there may be less expensive multitools available. There may even be more expensive tools. Still, most bang for the buck? The Topeak Alien II has you covered.
Spring the extra dough. Don't go for the twelve or fifteen dollar options. Get the Topeak, and you will have a tool that'll last you many years.Vollständige Rezension lesen

seems to be equipped with everything you would need on the trails or riding through town. It is made well and has many uses. I looked around a lot before purchasing this Topeak Alien tool @ and this one was the best and is built the best. Great price and a handy little tool
I've had this bike tool for several years but recently lost the half with most of the Allen keys on it. I couldn't find just that half for it so I bought the whole tool. So far, So good
I was looking for a all in one bike tool to lighten my load and so far this one does the trick. It's much lighter than carrying individual tools. So far, I have used it to take my tires on & off, put new pedals on & attach water bottle holders. The one I ordered did not come with any instructions but I was able to download them online. The perfect tool for the road or trail
This is the second unit I bought so I am never without one or the other. High quality parts and very useful toolset. I cannot say enough about this useful little tool.
