XXX (Blu-ray Disc, 2006)

I recently saw both movies and I must say that the original was DEFINITELY BETTER!

Vin Diesel's character Xander is a bad boy thrillseeker who is "recruited" by Samuel L. Jackson's character to get info on a Russian terrorist group called Anarchy 99.

During which, Xander ends up going from getting info to actually taking these guys on using many of the skating, snowboarding and brawling skills he already knew! Xander is actually a funny character at times, funnier than the Stone character that Ice Cube played in the second XXX.

The plot, while paper thin, is a bit better than in the second film too. Plus, the stunts are a BIT more believable than in the second film.

This is a good way to spend an hour and a half if you have that to waste. While I am more of an Ice Cube fan than Vin Diesel, Diesel's version is definitely the better film. I'd rent it or get it at a reduced price.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

FIVE STARS?!?!!? You gotta be KIDDING me!!! right? Hey, remember this is the guy who loved the live action GI Joe movie, go figure...

So the USA are sick of getting their agents captured all of the time, apparently they act too "agenty" and the bad guys can spot them a mile off, so somebody has a great idea. Recruit some bad boys and let them be agents, that way the evil foreigners will never figure them out. So along comes Xander Cage (Vin Diesel) an extreme sports athlete who loves his parachuting, snowboarding and other dangerous and illegal pursuits. He is "recruited" by Agent Gibbons (Sam Jackson) in the usual "work for the government and we will wipe your record away" kinda deal.

As far as the rest of the plot goes, it's simple. Bad guys have a weapon and the good guys must infiltrate the gang and stop them from using said weapon. It's not Shakespeare, it's a Vin Diesel action flick. He blows stuff up while making wise cracks, grabbing the girl and saving the world along the way. You take your brain out before watching, it's as simple as that.

There are some AMAZING stunts in this movie, and I mean AMAZING stunts, plus enough explosions to make Michael Bay jealous. If you want a non stop action movie, you really can't go wrong with this. XXX BLUE RAY

I already owned this movie on dvd and buying it on blue ray was my desire just to see the difference, in picture abnd sound quality Even though it is a little better but I recommend don'y buy a movieon bloe ray which is old and you already own it on dvdVollständige Rezension lesen...

Vin Diesel

Very good special effects; classic evil genius theme e.g. James Bond. Overall, this would be a good family-level movies; it is suggestive, but not vulgar. XXX is so average

This is indeed an average version of the film for one reason. It's not the unlimate cut that was released on DVD. Blu-brothers should have gotten this in blu and not the PG13 version.
