Probably not worth it
IMHO this "kit" is much ado about nothing. It is primarily end plugs with o rings. The one thing it does have is 6 new accumulators with springs, but hard to say that they make that big a difference. You WILL need trans assembly lube, a new separator plate, bridge seal and the four tubular valve body seals, filter and pan gasket and you will PROBABLY need new solenoids. BE VERY CAREFUL IN DISASSEMBLY (do upside down (like it is in the vehicle) or the balls and stuff will drop out), DON'T LOSE THE CHECK BALLS, DON'T LOSE WHERE THEY GO AND DO ONE SPOOL VALVE AT A TIME!!!!
In the end, if you cannot flow test the valve body after you are done, or vacuum test prior to reassembly, you are flying blind. Second, while I believe that wear on the spool valves could definitely affect performance, I cannot see how changing stationary end plugs to o-ringed end plugs is likely to make that much difference, as how could these plugs wear if they never move??? (Note the threaded hole on the plugs goes to the outside so you can put a screw in it and pull it out if you need to). Understand that with one exception the ZIP KIT does not replace ANY moving parts. If your valve body was worn when you started, it will be worn when you finish. If I had to do it over again, I would just drop it, send it in to someone who can rebuild it and flow test it, change out the solenoids, clear the adaptations, and you are good to go. Finally, buy a cheap weed sprayer, get three feet of 1/4" tubing, put it on the end of the wand, fill the sprayer with tranny fluid and pressurize. It will pump the fluid right in. Put in four quarts, then turn on the engine, let idle while adding four more, shift through all gears, wait, then add slowly once hot until it dribbles out. Put plug in while still running. You are done, easy peasy,Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Excellent kit for a BMW E90 325xi 2006 zf6hp19
My E90 325xi 2006 with 82k miles was having the famous 2nd to 1st bump while stopping and reading online about the situation I did the job.
This sonnax kit is very easy to install, everything is in the papers step by step.
The atf was very dirty and I do not believe in lifetime oil.
I changed:
7 zf new solenoids
1 Sonnax zip kit
1 052 separator plate
9 liters Motorcraft mercon SP
1 zf oil pan
While doing the trans I changed the lifetime oil from:
Front and rear dif ( very bad oil)
Mobil 1 75w90 (2 quarts total)
Transfer case (bad oil too)
1 liter ravenol tf0870
After all of that the car runs so soft and perfect shift! I did not do any a/t reset adaptations, because it drives so good.

If you think you need it, do it !
The transmission was showing signs lack of control from the valve body.
This kit made a noticeable improvement in the action of the transmission.
For the price and the results well worth it.
