Carcassonne is a game that holds some similarity to Dominoes. Great feature of this game is you can use as few or as many of the scoring rules as you like. The more rules, the more challenging. Even with just a few of the rules, it is challenging. We've added more and more rules as we become comfortable. Easy, fast, and a Gateway Game!

After a recommendation by my brother, who called this a "Gateway" game (while gamers enjoy it, non-gamers can also really enjoy the game), my daughter and I played the game while looking back and forth at the rules. We both enjoyed the game very much, and we were surprised with the final score, too! Good game, basic expansions

Carcassonne is a nice intro game to board games. Fairly simple rules with a map that changes every time you play. This set includes the full base game along with the river and Abbott expansions.

Simple, wholesome game for 2 to 5 players. Ages 7+

This game is one of the most simple ones out there. If you're not worried about little pieces, young children about the age of 7 can learn this.

Fun game for all kinds of players. Layers of strategy keep it challenging. Scoring takes some getting used to, but it gets easier with experience.
