Young Sheldon - Series 1 - Complete (DVD, 2018)

Endearing

I bought this because I like Big Bang Theory, and for £7 it was worth a risk.

I got into it straight away. The characters are endearing. Sheldon has been pitched well - more likeable and less arrogant than his adult self. His family are also very likeable.

Thus far there is more marital harmony between Sheldon's parents than BBT references would suggest, which is good - I was worried they'd be arguing all the time and the show would be more like Eastenders than BBT.

Nice bit of fun

The young Sheldon is really good and convincing, his mum (actual daughter of older Sheldon's mum) has some of her natural mum's mannerisms. An engaging series with fine performances from all involved. Meemaw isn't the angel adult Sheldon remembers, she's far more entertaining. Good but not as good as The Big Bang Theory

Great comedy, spin-off series from The Big Bang Theory, not as good, but still very funny. Took a few episode to really get into it, but once you do, it's great.
