Yamaha RX V995 5.1 Channel 100 Watt Receiver

Dynamite receiver.

This is a SUBERB system. I had the exact same receiver and have had it since the late 90s so I was aware of its capabilities. I was very weery of buying this old used model but when I opened it it looked brand new and it looked clean both inside and out. No dust inside the system. Viewed my first movies on it today and it works just awesome! I love this particular model that Yamaha made back in the 90s. They did not hold back with this model. Great for stereo sound

The RX-V995 is one of my most powerful Yamaha receivers sounding just as strong as the more expensive RX-V2700. This is an older pre HDMI unit with most of the controls being on the front panel so it's easy to set up even if you don't have the giant original remote controller.
The RX-V995 sounds best in stereo mode with incredible dynamic range easily pushing a pair of Klipsch RF-3 II's to furniture penetrating sonic levels with the volume at about 35%.
The panel lights on these tend to go dim after a number of years. However all functions can be displayed if you connect a TV screen to the 'monitor out' jack on the receiver.
I love my RX-V995 and wouldn't sell it for anywhere near what I paid for it(less than $100)!

Nice power for my patio

I wanted an inexpensive solution for my outdoor patio and this fit the bill. It sounds great with my Yamaha AW570 speakers. I just ordered a subwoofer and can't wait to rock the back yard.

Yamaha RX-V995 is truly a quality vintage AV receiver tested through time.

One of the best AV receiver from Yamaha in the 90's, its more than 20yo. got it today and hooked it up with my speakers and I'm still truly amazed like when I first heard in last 1999, well built good quality.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Honest Opinions

Very risky buying anything used from eBay. The simple fact is you can't lay your hands on it and check it out. Yamaha surround receiver was faulty. Will have to have it repaired. Two of the five channels do not work.Vollständige Rezension lesen
