Simple, reliable way to allow motion to control lights or appliances using X-10

These X-10 Eagle Eye motion sensors are compact, portable (self powered),come with good instructions, are quite easy to set up, are reliable and can be mounted anywhere. It is just one X-10 element in a family of compatible X-10 components. At least one other element of that family is required for it's function. The motion field is limited to about 90degrees. I have been using X-10 systems for over ...

I have been using X-10 systems for over 30 years with positive results, and these sensors are no exception. Like all electronics they have a finite life expectancy and some have failed in use before expected, but in my experience most have lasted for years. I subtracted one star because some sensors have shown manufacturing flaws in the lens area.
One caveat: try to avoid direct sun exposure outdoors, as UV light will deteriorate the lens faster.Vollständige Rezension lesen

A must have to customize an x10 system

To easy to set up this sensor.
Walk into a room, and have the sensor turn on the lights to this room or another.

very, very sensitive and appears to have wide field of view. To limited a range for a driveway alarm signal device, however.

Limited Range

I like this product and it does work. However, either it's transmitting range or the receiver's reception range is severely limited, both by distance and walls - even glass. I've found this to be true with several of these over the years. I keep buying them because it does do what it's supposed to; you just have to allow for the deficiencies.Vollständige Rezension lesen
