The best HO track cleaning device EVER!

These are the most convenient and efficient way to clean HO track that I have ever found. Put a couple of drops of track-cleaning liquid on the fabric, attach to the rear truck of a boxcar (you may have to remove the coupler) and drag it behind the locomotive or the other cars. Cleans every inch of the layout's track because it reaches even the most distant and awkward-to-reach sections of track. Run it around the track 2 or 3 times and watch your locomotive's performance improve from jerky or hesitant to smooth satisfaction. Remove after using and set it aside for next time. When it gets really dirty, you can rinse it in cold tap-water and dry it before using again.
I did add a 1/4-oz weight - the flat self-stick kind you put in your freight cars - to the top of the thing to improve contact with the track.
They are a little expensive, but they last a long time and are worth the price. I've been using them since 2002 and am perfectly satisfied. I'd give it SIX stars if it were possible.

Track cleaning and maintenance.

I just received my Dust Monkeys, they work well as expected.
They are not designed to clean filthy grimy track, but to help keep clean once you have given your track a good cleaning. Rather than the obvious track cleaning cars that stick out (looks). These are hidden under the RR car and hard to see. Plus easy to install and replace.
I'm recommending my Club invest in enough for all trains running on the Club layout.

“by Jove” That nobody developed this earlier! A view Runs at high speed and a little cleaning solution and gone are “bad” contacts!

Dust monkeys

Good product to keep tracks maintained. Light weight, and don't cause resistance on loco's pulling power. They are also barely visable and easily cleaned with rubbing alcohol
