Better than expected. Gordon Gecko is back, and not just for a cameo.
A surprise. Expected Michael Douglas to appear in a cynical ‘blink and you miss it’ cameo with the young, boring and pretty remainder of the cast filling space and dragging it out interminably and unnecessarily for the rest of the 2hrs.
Not so! The younger cast members didn’t really shine, but nor did they spoil the film. Michael Douglas had enough screen time to make the whole worthwhile, and an entirely unrepentant but somewhat mellowed Gordon Gecko was more than worth the price of admission.
