I've noticed that I get better at playing my kit if I use my Vic Firth ones. Other brands just don't feel as good in my hands. Vic Firth's sticks hold up well even when I'm just whaling on my cymbals. I've been playing Vic Firth 5A for more than 20 years and won't change anytime soon. The price for a brick is cheaper than any local retailer here in Los Angeles and it's delivered right to my door.
