Vampires (DVD, 1998)

Spaghetti Mars Western.

This movie is like a cross between a spaghetti western and a vampire movie, with a dash of Howard Hawks. Plus "They Live" this is the best Carpenter stuff since "The Thing", which Carpenter has been getting revenge for since that film's fucking immoral critical reception in 1982. They can never be forgiven for this, but it's films like this one that we can get a breath of fresh air.

Leather wearing James Woods and his gang in the desert dragging vampires out into the sun with rope, after which they get fried in the sun. It doesn't get better than this for latter day Carpenter. Vollständige Rezension lesen

Very serious fan of the director John Carpenter but this was his worst film ever👎
