Pixar outdo themselves again!

An emotional rollercoaster with some awesome new characters joining the franchise. We join Woody and friends as Andy is heading off to college. What will happen to the roundup gang when they are no longer being played with, where do your loyalties lie and is Sunnyside day care too good to be true... My 2 and a half year old daughter is loo inn g all the toy story movies and this is her favourite she could happily watch it 2/3 times a day. Not for 4 year olds... great for adults

I have a 4 year old and when I heard that Mark Kermode had said that the Toy Story trilogy was one of the best triologies ever, I added Toy story 3 to our collection. I think if my child was 7 I would be awarding this higher marks... I just don't find that it's appropriate for his stage of development. It contains a level of malevolence and threat that seems to be give a nod to chuckie / similar horror movies. References to suicide are not things that I want my 4 year old exposed to.

As an adult, I love the seat of my pants thriller ride that the movie gives. the humour is still there although mingled with meatier messages to do with abandonment, dispair, evil, death, and distruction. The evil master mind is a strawberry smelling pink cudly teddy, he rules like evil dictator and turns a nursery into a concentration camp of Orwellian proportions. My child is very imaginative and loves watching a movie again and again and again and again and again...Do I want my child to wrestle with the dark side of toy story yet? Would he start to have nightmares?... to fear his toys?.... I could experiment on him... or there again we could just watch and love Toy story 1 & 2 till the cows come home... Very good quality DVD.

DVD in great condition. Very much enjoyed by my young granddaughter.

Brilliant, funny, family film - a real "toy story" - with sentiment

I bought this dvd as a birthday present for my 4 year old daughter, as she DESPERATELY wanted a Buzz Lightyear toy. I have not seen many recent disney films, as a lot of them are just loud and do not have much depth, but watched Toy Story years ago with my older children.
I was not disappointed, and have now actually watched it all the way through twice. (pretty good going as i usually run away and do housework). My 3 year old twins are also captivated. A brilliant funny film for all the family to enjoy while being able to relate to each character and their feelings empathetically.
