Worked fine out of the box, seems to do everything i need it to.

Looks brand new, not sure if it is NOS.

Not For Use With Chocolate Oranges

My mother decided to attack her laptop for the sweet taste of fruit shaped candy there by earning a broken hard drive. She got my old one and I got to double my storage capacity.

Great PATA drive for older laptops

I had a catastrophic failure in an HP, and needed a decent 2.5" EIDE fast. This unit came properly packaged, on schedule, and was an 80 gig Toshiba 4200 RPM unit. The unit is a well reviewed and top of the line HDD for its time, and it loaded my OS rapidly and without any hiccoughs.
Data management is excellent, and the Everest indicates the unit is faster than the original 40 gig POS that the HP came with.

a little expensive but has good qualities

Works very well, Windows reports that it was healthy, seems very fast for a light weight. Linux runs smooth on it. A very good addition to your laptop

Toshiba MK 8025GAS (80 GB, DMA/ATA-100 (Ultra), 8 MB) H

The MK8025GAS is a 2-5-inch embedded hard disk drive for advanced mobile computing and sophisticated multi-media applications. The hard drive work great!!!

Much cheaper than buying new through HP.

This used HDD was installed into an HP Pavilion laptop. It works well and gave new life to a PC that would have been trashed.

toshiba 80 gig hard drive

I needed several hard drives. I was not knowledgable of these things. I bought several different brands and if i were to recommend a hard drive I would have to say one of two toshiba or hitachi.

A bit faster

This model has 8 MB of Buffer, so even though it rotational speed is low (4200 RPM) it delivers the data slightly faster than other models with a 2 or 4 MB buffer.
