Great read! I highly recommend it!
I bought this book because I own a Yugo..No kidding I really do!
What I liked most about the book was the great detail, I knew some of the history, but the author did a wonderful job of clarifying a very convoluted story.
The only negative issue I had was, I think that there were worse cars than the Yugo in the long history of the automobile (ie: the Trablant, the DKW 3-6, the Subaru 360, etc).
My experience with my Yugo has been very good. Mine is a late 1988 model GVX with the 1300cc engine. It is a 5 speed with air conditioning. I have rolled up over 87,000 miles on the car with only a few minor problems. I think that most of the problems American owners had with these cars is, most people here in the USA view their cars as an appliance.
They fill it with gas and DRIVE. They don't understand that this is a European car which REQUIRES very regular maintenance and care. Ask any Ferrari owner what happens if you don't have regular service! Eye watering repairs ($$$$$). Kudos to Jason Vuic for a most entertaining read. TonyVollständige Rezension lesen...
Good book for the worst car.
The only reason I bought the book, is to have it sit on the back seat of my Yugo. Unless I am stuck in traffic for hours it will most likely never get read. Yes, I am restoring a Yugo, that I rescued from the junk yard this winter. Wish me luck. Be groovy..
The book showed up packaged well and in very good shape.Vollständige Rezension lesen...
