The Quirky King of Siam, Yes I Am !
Bought this one at my wife's request since I'm not a fan of musicals. Watched it and it was very good. It's quite a spectacular with good songs and lavish sets. "A Great Musical, like no other"
The story line is very entertaining and engaging. The Actors are fabulous it is a 5 star movie with excellent Quality on sound and color. I hold it very high on my list of Classics, like "Sound of Music", " My Fair Lady", "Music Man" and "There's No Business like show Business". This type of Movie is NO LONGER BEING MADE. But for those people who still enjoy song and Dance type movies, they are a must. Also "An Affair to Remember" is strongly in this same category of "GREAT MOVIES". Very entertaining and love the songs!
I was able to see this in the theater for the first time recently and had to have it. I loved the songs and the dancing and the verbal play between the two stars. While the setting was entirely unbelievable, it was humorous and funny. I will watch it over and over again!Vollständige Rezension lesen

This is one for every taste, and every collection
Of all the possible musicals to have in your home, this has to be one of the first. First off, it's Roger's and Hammerstein, and secondly anything with Yul Brynner and Deborah Kerr is a must. Worse storyline worse musical I’ve ever seen!
I picked this musical up because it was watched by relatives of mine years ago and they recommended it. The singing was terrible and too much, even for a musical. Yul Bruner cannot sing! Stick to Ramses, Yul! Acting was sub par, especially by DK. The entire story was self congratulatory, arrogant British....our culture would be better and more civilized for you than your Siamese culture. Wonderful Film
Excellent actors in this film. I would recommend to all old movie fans. It is a musical so be aware.

The King and is an absolute timeless hit!
"The King and I" is a classic musical. The acting is top notch and the songs are incredible. I saw this movie when it first came to theaters and it remains just as fresh today many years later.

Yul Brynner Fan
I love the movies that Yul Brynner stars in. He was such an actor that he took over the role and made you believe that he was that character I have seen some remakes of movies that he made and they just do not come up to what he portrays. Brynner was the True King on Broadway
Brings back great memories of having seen King & I three times on Broadway. Yul Brynner passed away just months after I saw him the third time.
I get to watch it now any time I wish.

Stars of yesterday that will not be forgotten, including the music.
When Mr Brynner took the show on the road, I saw him in person on the stage.
