Rufio - The Comfort of Home
"Out of Control" wallops you right off the bat with a frantic muted progression and rapid-fire guitar licks. An infectious little groove dominates "Let Fate Decide". Scott Sellers vocals come off soothing and impassioned here. The track switches back and forth in tempo. "Never Learn" keeps the energy flowing at break-neck speed. The pounding drums and impressive axemanship help define the songs character. "Mental Games" has a real rock radio feel to it with its simple structure, memorable lyrics, and familiar chord changes.
The drum pattern used on "Life Songs" really stands out, but the melodic vocals and biting riffs are just as noteworthy. Usually the final track of an album is the slowest and dullest. Let's admit it, no one listens to it. Don't make that mistake with "My Escape". Rufio keeps the party going with this fervent rock track. There are four segue track throughout the album that are the heaviest and coolest arrangements. If they were put together, they would make one great old-school metal song.Vollständige Rezension lesen...
