The Collected Stories of Isaac Bashevis Singer by Isaac
"I have a Yiddish typewriter, which is very capricious and highly critical," is the famous quote from author Isaac Bashevis Singer, the pre-eminent story teller of his day, and almost eveny day. I met him once, and I was immediately taken by his willingness to engage a stranger in animated conversation. He told me stories about his life and writings and I always manage to include his insights in talks and articles in civic and college settings.
If in the past, you din't have the chance to meet him face-to-face, you must read "The Collected Stories." His was the most incredible life, and as a story teller, he was unmatched.

Great book, one of the many favorites.
I bought this book because a friend I lent it to liked it so much that I gave it to her.Singer is an awesome writer, and his tales will find a place in your heart. His descriptions of the old world Orthodox Jewish community is an eye opener.I will do my best to find more books by him.
This edition is very nice - hardcover, good quality, and even i tend to read my books until they have holes in them I expect it to serve me for some time. I like it more than the one I had before. The price was fantastic as well, it does not get any better than that.Vollständige Rezension lesen...
