A tear or two may be shed but it is a wonderful film.
What a brilliant film. I had never heard of it until my daughter wanted the book and we saw it was a film too. Thought provoking ,funny, sad, heart rendering and I have to say one of the best films i've seen in along time. Might be a bit upsetting for very young children .Vollständige Rezension lesen

Very good adaptation of "The Book Thief" novel by Markus Zusak. Sophie Nelisse who plays the main character Liesel, is a very engaging character.

This film truly brings to life the wickedness of war, the sufferings of ordinary innocent people on all sides and proves that all war should cease.
