Finally available, DVDs of some of the early Flatt & Scruggs TV shows. Each DVD has 2 shows complete with Martha White & Pet Milk commercials. One of the shows on this DVD has a guest appearance by 7 year old Ricky Skaggs, even then doing a great job on the mandolin. Also featured, of course, are Lester and Earl, along with the Foggy Mountain Boys: Curly Seckler, Josh Graves, Jake Tullock, and Paul Warren. T. Tommy Cutrer is announcer. Flatt and Scruggs

The old Flatt and Scruggs Show was one of my favorites to watch on TV when I was a kid in the early sixties. I was learning to play guitar, after seeing the Beatles on Ed Sullivan's Show, and the Flatt and Scruggs Grand Ole Opry Show was shot with two camers, and they always showed the musicians hands playing ther instruments, so we could sit in front of the TV and copy them. Now that I'm older, and have been an accomplished professional musician for over 37 years, I still marvel at the talent these guys had back then. Plus its a trip down memory lane as well. Down home bluegrass music

I bought this item because I am a bluegrass banjo picker. It does not get any better than Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs when it comes to bluegrass music. Good down home music and Marth White corn bread. I plan on picking up another one of these in the near future.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

All Earl Scruugs material is hard to find these days and to be able to actually see a Bluegrass legion preform in any forum is a real treat. Must be seen to appreciated.
