Why you should question the official story & wonder what real story is!

I have been purchasing random films with certain themes or actors on eBay for a while now, and often I am disappointed and just turn around and re-sell them on eBay. However, I was not disappointed by this film. It is based on a true story and I do not know how accurate it is, but it was done well. I did have to watch it twice as I missed a few things the first time around. I imagine it is even more enjoyable for a Brit as there are probably some historical nuances that a Yank might not get. I really like the fact that it depicted the way of the world regarding the kinds of things people in power can do, have always done and will continue to do. If you want a lesson about life, this one will shed some light. I hope it was relatively accurate and that all the good-guilty guys came out on top as the film portrayed. The only thing that kept me from giving a 5 star rating is the fact that the setting was in the early 70's and a large portion of the costuming and hair styles did not represent that time. I appreciate that kind of authenticity,and some of the costuming looked very authentic, but in the end, it was still a great story and well done. The Bank Job - Lives up to the hype

Jason Statham gives a great performance in this film which is based on actual events. As the leader of the gang that pulls off the robbery of London Bank.

The movie starts off a little slow but as the film progresses your interest is captured and is held until the end. I am unsure of how much is actual fact and how much is creative license but with all the screw ups that take place during the robbery it is astonishing that the bank was every robbed.

There are some very good supporting performances by David Suchet (Porn King Vogel) and Saffron Burrows (Martine Love).

If you like action movies and are a Statham fan then this movie is a definite must see.

Unlikely team of old friends turned bank robbers. Very suspenseful.

DVD was high quality. Delivered on time. True story. Good acting. A+ service

Best Heist Movie in Years

I expected this movie to be somewhat entertaining, and maybe a bit cheesy. After all, it's not difficult to muck up a heist movie. However, this film gets it all right. The acting is top notch, the story is not only engaging and clever but TRUE (!), and the experience of seeing it is thoroughly enjoyable.

The only complaints I have of the film are that the characters do get a little cheeky from time to time (but hey, they're British, so it's kind of expected), and there's a couple flashbacks/lapses in time that are initially confusing - although everything is clearly laid out about halfway through. The Bank Job doesn't disappoint!

The Bank Job is a very underrated film. A very well written action and suspense movie.

this movie was based on a true story ! at 1st it stared out kinda nasty sex wise i though oh my iam not going to like this one ! lol but has you got into the movie it faded w/ the sex part ! this was actually a good movie ! kinda different ! but over all worth buying ! i got a good deal on it ! cheaper then at the store ! i would rate this movie a 6 i guess ! husband liked it to !Vollständige Rezension lesen...
