Terrasoul Superfoods Raw Organic Criollo Cacao Nibs 1 Pound

Not exactly what you would think.

First of all I thought these would taste nice and slightly sweetened. Only because I am spoiled by my Yacon sweetened cacao nibs of another brand...

With that said, eating these raw will have a similar effect of chewing on softened walnut shells or the spacer wood between the walnut sections. Hey do NOT say I didn't warn you.

Now the good- I think these could very well be treated like bittersweet chocolate chips- So if you use them in the presence of sugar I think they might do very well. OR, buy a half pound of yacon sweetened nibs and mix those plus this 1 lb bag and see what you get. If you do not like it, then use these as exotic baking chips. I will actually be experimenting with them in some nestle's cookie dough that I will be making. I will expect these to give a nice subtle cocoa flavor but more crunchy texture. I might even add in some regular chocolate chips, or maybe sub in half the chips for nibs. That is really probably the best way to use these. Do not eat the unsweetened ones by themselves unless you chew on a miracle fruit first. Only eat the sweetened ones, the unsweetened ones should be used for baking.Vollständige Rezension lesen
