TacStar 1081029 12 Gauge Mossberg Sidesaddle Rail Mount

Extremely useful and great looking

This rail kit is exactly what I was missing on my Mossberg 88. I find that it adds the exact amount of satisfactory heft that makes the shotgun feel so much better to handle. I think the Mossberg 88 with the 18.5 inch security barrel is pretty lightweight and it feels too much like a budget gun until I slapped this puppy on. Its very well made and machined. The sidesaddle is a very thick integrated rubber that holds 6 normal 12g shells. They do fit fairly snug but if youre planning on using those shells in a hurry I might think of adding a drop or two of oil to the insides of the holder. I dont believe there is a chance that the metal and the rubber will separate. It does hold true to the statement that you can still use the bead sights factory to the shotgun. The instructions included are clear, well written english, and make sense. The hardware for installation is well made and easily identified for each part of the installation. All it takes is popping out one pin and screwing together 2 halves of one screw on both sides of the reciever. The smaller screw and nut hold the front half of the rail kit from the inside of the reciever. Great TacStar Product

Installed the TacStar rail mount with side saddle on my Mossberg 500 and it works great. Easy to install (TaStar has YouTube video) and was impressed with the high quality. The rail holds a red dot and rear sight with no problem. The side saddle holds the shells firm but easy to pull out. Fitment

I have read and watched much about this rail, scratching receivers during installation. In my case it fit my Mossberg Mav 88 perfectly, not tight or loose. Installation was crazy easy it did not scratch my receiver as it was fitted and designed for the Mossberg 500 therefore it fits the Maverick 88 just fine. I don't understand the issues with people scratching their receivers.
As far as the shells being tight, mine was also. Just put a VERY light coat of silicone grease inside the shell holders..wala all fixed. Vollständige Rezension lesen

Mossberg extreem addition.

Great addition to a great weapon. Nice to have extra ammo close at hand and a rail to mount my favorite optic. Makes my Mossberg even more fun to shoot.

Great item !

It fits like a glove on mi mossberg Shockwave 590. This is a great product it's nicely made and does not feel cheap at all. It's worth every penny makes my mossberg look 10 times better.

Great, but a little tight.

The holsters are good, but they fit pretty snug. It may take a little trimming or just a bit of polishing on the inside of the holsters to make them slide better, but it is worth it.

Heard alot of complaints about the shells not fitting right but i have tried a few different brands with no issues. Would definitely recommend.

TacStar Tactical Rail Mount Sidesaddle 12 Gauge

This item is of good quality material but the shell holder is too tight to let the shotgun shell to put in and out. The shell holder is of different tightness. I put oil on the shells, but after a day or two, holders are too tight again. I will try to find slightly larger in diameter dowels and heat it a little bit with the hair dryer. I hope this will work. Another thing, the screw is already tight but the item still moves a little bit. This will scratch the body of the receiver later on.
