And an insight about the remnants of the Great Depression that enhance the film from screwball comedy into tragedy back and forth.

Veronica Lake, out of the noir flicks surprise us as a first rate comedienne.

Check the dinner's scene when she meets McCrea for the first time.

Excellent script, acting and overall production.

Had never heard of it before reading Halliwell's. Well worth the buying and the watching. Kinda left-field Hollywood.
