Great Zebrite replacement
I stripped a Victorian iron fireplace and wanted to finish it with Zebrite until I found it was no longer made. This paste is the ideal substitute leaving a lovely dark grey, with graphite highlights when polished up. Can be polished up or left as a flatter, darker grey finish.Vollständige Rezension lesen

DOES WHAT IT SAYS ON THE TIN OR IN THIS CASE TUBE !
This is the second one I have got . It leaves a lovely satin black finish on my stove . A tube will last a few years as you only apply sparingly .

Restored a rusty fireplace
I bought a really rusty old fireplace for my bedroom, as I wanted to restore a missing feature from my period house. The ones in good condition were out of my price range. I opted for a rusty one and a tube of this Stovax polish.
The rusty fireplace was transformed into a beautiful feature in only a couple of hours.
I removed the rust with some wire wool and then applied two coats of the polish and buffed it.

Brilliant
Comes up grey/silver colour, but looks like new and feels nicer to the touch. It seems it can be used inside and out.
I used a whole tube on a small log burner......but I do tend to get a bit carried away, so half a tube should do a log burner.
The graphite also works well as a lube on the hinges, and any other moving parts.

Used mountains of this restoring old fireplaces and stoves. Excellent finish every time. Apply with cloth, buff in, leave, soak used cloth in water and dispose of safely, get some old newspaper and buff it up once cured for a traditional finish. Use a bit of box cardboard in your offside hand to mask off painted areas from the graphite when applying and buffing to ensure a professional finish. If you're fitting an old fireplace insert into the wall coat the back of it with this prior to installing in order to prevent corrosion.Vollständige Rezension lesen

We have just moved into our new home and it's just perfect but the fire was a disaster & after reading about this product decided ' couldn't make it any worse' (to be clear - I don't ever leave these kind of reviews - infact this is the first *that's how impressed I am!*) this is truly amazing stuff & (if I'd read the label) cannot stress strongly enough wear gloves - I was warned tho lol - buy this it's amazing!!Vollständige Rezension lesen

Stove polish
This is by far the best polish I have ever used, we used on our tired looking wood burner I polished in with a cloth (you only need to use small amounts) and really worked it in to every corner only using a little not loads and loads and having it dripping in polish, had a fire and no unpleasant smells or fumes as other polishes leaveVollständige Rezension lesen

Super stuff

Supposed to be black
But it’s not, it’s a grey coloured finish. Not anywhere near as good as the old Zebrite, which was black. It’s also very runny, more liquid than paste. Poor product, I won’t purchase again.
