Step UP (DVD, 2006)

I think the title "Step Up" fits the story. The main character did "step up" in the end.

I love this movie! Dancing is my passion, so I especially love dance movies! I loved the characters, and that it changed the lives for the better for the main 2 formerly lawless characters.

But, I was especially saddened by the murder of the very young boy. It hit me especially hard because last year the 11 year old granddaughter of my across the street neighbors was brutally murdered/repeatedly stabbed by their son's live-in girlfriend. She was not her mother. Her jury trial is this month.
