Taichung Perfection!
Move over Delica 4, there's a new favorite. I never really believed all the hype that Taichung produced Spyderco blades were the best of the best until I bought the Sage 5. This is as near perfect an EDC I've ever bought, and I have many. Everything is spot on.....the compression lockup.....blade shape......steel quality.....sharp as a razor right out of the box.....no nonsense wire pocket clip. The texture of the carbon fiber allows for a sure grip, not like the slippery, glossy, cheesy checkerboard carbon fiber on run of the mill knives. Excellent example of Spyderco quality.
Great knife with very nice blade action. Came razor sharp, blade closes easily, and its even gotten better over the past week or so as it loosens up. Carbon Fiber G10 handle is great and super light. One of their best
The Sage 5 is certainly one of their best line of folding knives. The combination G10/Carbon Fiber scales are a favorite of mine. Some love them, some hate them, but I find them perfect for me. The compression lock is also a favorite. Any style of compression lock, button lock, bar lock, or axis lock, that keeps your fingers out of the way when closing it, should be the standard in 2021.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Best Knife I’ve owned

Nice EDC. Love the Compression Lock
I like the Sage 5 a lot. It fits may hand well and cuts great. It also carries really well. The S30V holds and edge plenty long for me, and is easy to sharpen as well.

Light, strong, beautiful
Feels perfect in the hand, weighs nothing, and is extremely sturdy for how light it is! It arrived very tight as far as the opening action, but after using it repeatedly it has loosened up. The action not as smooth as my Benchmade Northfork, however the ergonomics and excellent deep pocket clip MORE than make up for it.
