Soundtraxx PTB-100 program booster
I had a lot of problems previously when programming locos! The PTB-100 has eliminated most all of those problems.It is easy to install and lets you know when a cv change has been entered. I did install it in a clear plastic box however, with a cover to keep it protected. There is a clear flexible coating over the circuit board (of which you are forbidden to remove), this might be protection enough, however I felt better having a hard cover to protect it from dropped objects. If you are operating a digitrax system you will need this to program tsunamis without anxiety. This will NOT eliminate all problems with TCS programing, but there lies the problem, the TCS decoder design!! All in all, this booster works great!Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Great product. Used this since it was first available, and my original got damaged. Had it for over 5years.

A Must For Model Railroaders.
The Digitrax PR3 is great for most decoders, but when it comes to programming those hard to program sound decoders, PR3 has trouble. That is when the PTB-100 does it's job. Soundtrax Tsunami and most other sound decoders are easily programmed with the PTB-100. Every Model Railroader should have one. PTB 100 Does Exactly What It Is Supposed To Do
The PTB 100 was designed to allow programming any model railroad decoder regardless of necessary voltage needed to accomplish that. It works as advertised. With JMRI I program all my locomotives and my club members' locomotives at shows if they need it. The only glitch is with some TCS WOW decoders but TCS has acknowledged certain version of firmware prior to 31/10/2016 were difficult to program. The problem is supposed to be remedied in newer versions of their firmware. A +15 VDC power supply is required for the PTB 100 but several of these are for sale on Ebay for very affordable prices.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Make sure your programming works
This PCB from SoundTraxx will insure your programming takes the first time every time. It is very easy to install and use and had LEDs that will indicate any issues and successful programming by these indicator lights.

Soundtraxx PTB-100 is still a good tool to have

Works as described. Identifies hard to read cv 8 Train engine decoders.
Works better than others I've tried with NEC DCC Controller.
