Soul Blade (Sony PlayStation 1, 1996)

A classic that stands the test of time

Great game! The very first game that started the Soul Series which eventually became Soul Calibur and the accompanying sequels. This was one of the first and best weapon fighting games that came out for the original PlayStation, brought to you by the Namco, the same company that makes the Tekken series. Great quality gameplay with amazing characters, great graphics, and great fighting mechanics. Each character is amazing with different types of weapons, themes, and cool endings. There is the general arcade mode which is featured in most fighting games, and there are other cool modes to play as well.

If you are a fan of both Soul Calibur and Tekken, and you don't have this original game, then you definitely need it! The controls are easy to learn and hard to master, and you will always have fun playing such a great classic like Soul Blade. Vollständige Rezension lesen

An awesome first installment of a beloved fighting game franchise!

Soul Blade (Soul Edge in Japan), is one of those rare PlayStation games to ever come across. The gameplay is complex, mostly balanced, and playable at that. The true first Soul Calibur game.

It was nice playing Soul Blade again, granted the graphics are a bit dated, but I still like the gameplay and the moves of certain characters. Thanks to Soul Blade started the Soul Calibur series of fighting games. Vollständige Rezension lesen

Soul Blade ps1

Fun fighting game. I've played all of the Soul Calibur games that come after this one and thought it'd be fun to try. Not the best in the series, but fun and definitely worth playing with friends.

This was my first real good fighting game the characters where crazy

Recommended for those good at Soul Caliber

I happen to be good at Soul Caliber, but I gave this item a 3-star rating because I got frustrated with this one; it plays a lot like Virtua Fighter, a game that requires skill.
