The str-de845 is a good receiver..

This receiver sounds pretty good & gets the job done.. if you buy one of these with out high expectations,you'll probably be happy with it.. I think that's about the best way to describe it..

It's awesome!!

Picked this out for my brother in law who is hard of hearing. His old system would cut out when he turned it up to where he could hear it. Well this certainly does the trick paired with a set of Polk 6800 speakers!! It blows the doors off his entertainment room and then some!! He is so happy now!! Not sure about myself or my sister though, as we probably should wear ear plugs when watching a movie w him now!! Lmao!! Oh well, we may soon be as deaf as he is. Thank you for the great purchase!!
