perfect hi-res camera, but slow compare to DSLR's

I used the A7RII body for one year, but I didn't reach my expectation - I mean the power of DSLR in small mirrorless body. Moreover, the lenses good enough to the body, because it's enormous resolution, are big and heavy (and expensive). I used the Canon L lenses with Metabones adapter, to solve this issue, and due of continuous problems with slow focussing in low light situation, I bought another body Canon %D mark IV, and I am happy with it.
I loose a lot (time and money), I didn't reach the plan to own light perfect combination of IQ and weight of the system, but I am not angry whet the moment missed and camera seeks the focus.
On the other way, A7RII is a perfect body, and you could be happy wit hit accepting few differences compare to the DSLR. You could be prepared for the mirrorless era, coming soon, who knows?Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Microscope perfect

Great camera. Purchased to use on a microscope where it will live for a long time. No mirror vibration because there is none and the shutter can be set to silent so less vibration again. Love the camera. Good bye to the dSLRs in my life (Nikon d700 and Canon 700d).Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Compare to OLD 'R' ITS FABULOUS ! IF YOU ARE INTO SONY PHOTO I WILL LIKE THESE ONE.

The Sony A7R II, in particular, proved to be a very solid and capable performer when compared to the best high-resolution DSLRs on the market. During my time in the mountains this fall, I had the Sony A7R II, Canon 5DS R and my trusty Nikon D810 with me. Although lugging all three cameras and some of the best lenses was not something my back was very happy with, after the first week, I kept reaching more and more for the Sony A7R II, leaving the other two in the bag. With its in-body image stabilization, electronic front-curtain shutter, dampened and quieter shutter operation, bright and beautiful electronic viewfinder, improved responsiveness, fast and reliable AF system, and a lightweight and compact footprint, the A7R II was not only a fun camera to shoot with, but also quite a versatile setup capable of producing stunning images. Having primarily shot with the 16-35mm f/4 OSS and the 70-200mm f/4 OSS (both excellent lens choices for the A7R II), I was blown away by the detail and the rich colors I was seeing in my images. This is good camera with good quality pictures. Only downside is it's battery power.

This camera is a beast with 1 drawback

It outperforms anything I've used before (came from Canon) with the exception of batterylife which is now fixed in the newer A7R III
