Review of movie, "Snow Falling on Cedars"

This happens to be my favorite book, and thankfully, the movie follows the book very well. (That does not happen very often.) That is the reason I LOVE this movie..because I loved the book and the movie is TRUE to the book.

The acting of Hatsue and Ismael was superb. Such young innocence and caring about each other when Ismael would remember his past relationship with Hatsue growing up. Very believable characters in a heart-rendering drama of war-torn love. We watch Ishmael as he struggles to do the "right thing"..still enamored by Hatsue's loveliness. Also, this is a drama about suspicion and prejudice that was a part of America's history at that time after WWII and remembering Pearl Harbor. Great setting where the movie was made. I was fascinated with the area, and very familiar with the inconveniences of a snow storm. I will replay this movie again and again.Vollständige Rezension lesen
