I bought this for my mother in law who is very deaf. She's able to hear this and the fact that it had a ten year battery makes it even more worthwhile. Seems well made, easy to fit, like all products of this nature, time will tell how good it is, but very pleased so far, and quickly delivery too. Nice and loud, very useful as it will be going in our loft - EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE A SMOKE ALARM IN THEIR LOFT!
