The american way, a remote for everything.
I always thought that a remote for your gas logs was overkill. An excuse for laziness. However, after installing a set of logs in my mother in law fireplace, I noticed she was not using them at all. After inquiring, she explained it was too hard to bend over and find the gas walve to turn the logs on or off. So santa brought her a new set of logs with this great remote. Now, she can turn them on and off from her recliner. Also this remote can turn the gas logs on and off automatically to keep the room at a set temperature. Will install remotes in all my future logs. She also made me a sour cream poundcake as a thank you for installing the logs. ;-)

Great fireplace control
This is a replacement for the programmable version from SKYTECH as the remote on that unit failed. I was unable to purchase just a remote.
As I do not use the programmable feature to control temperature throughout the week, I felt no need to get that more expensive unit.
It is nice to have the large digital read out of both the temperature, and the set temperature as well as furnace status.
This unit arrived quickly and was well packaged. The transmitter is a plug in replacement for the one I had. After pairing the remote, it worked well and continues to work well. (only a few days so far). The prior SKYTech product worked for many years, so I am expecting the same.

Fireplace Remote
This product is the exact one that came with my fireplace, which I bought about 8 years ago. It was so easy to hook up, and came with all the parts and batteries. Nice!
This thermostat works great. We can turn fireplace on ad leave it on. It keeps the house comfortable all the time! My wife loves it cause it's saving on our electric bill. Great Remote Control

Good product, good price.
Worked right out of the box as it was preset for basic operation. Previous one had reset button stuck which apparently sometimes happens as other reviews indicated but this one was perfect.
