Not An Upgrade Over Civ III- A Mac User's Perspective

This is more a case of the game not meeting my expectations than it is a bad game. Though it may be a bad game as well. I played this game for about an hour, ejected the CD in a huff and went back to the old Dell Windows XP laptop I keep around just to play Civ III on .Versus Civ III, which I love, the gameplay and controls are incomprehensible. The graphics are just plain odd and seem out of scale and more cartoonish than Civ III. Maybe I'll try Civ IV again later. But I suspect that is a LONG way off.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

A great strategy game that can provide a good challenge!

If you like intricate strategy games with loads of variables then this is the game for you. In comparison to the Xbox 360 Civilization (the only other Civilization I've ever played), this game is much more complex and challenging when the difficulty is turned up. This is still a turn-by-turn based game where you move on an even grid but with realistic detailed graphics versus the simplified look of the Xbox 360 version. This was a very nice purchase and everything went smoothly. I am glad that I found this game at such a great price and I would definitely recommend this to anyone else who wants this game.
