The best reel in its class
This Stradic is the best Stradic Shimano has ever made. It has feature only found on $400 and higher reels. There is nothing in its price range that compares with the HG FL. Buttery smooth, light weight, long casts, perfect line lay...smooth drag...handles inshore duties perfectly. Used it on two kayak trips in the Chesapeake Bay. Nice reel
Although I have not used it yet ( rain keeps messing with my rivers), it is smooth and has a wonderful drag. I bought it to upgrade from a Saros for steelhead fishing.

Worked greats
