Sew U Home Stretch by Eviana Hartman, Wendy Mullin 2008

What I love about "Sew U Home Stretch" by Eviana Hartman, Wendy Mullin (2008), are the instructions which are precise and extremely helpful. Although the book is mainly written for sergers, the authors do give alternative guidelines so you can make the projects in the book using your conventional sewing machine's zigzag stitch. The book also includes patterns for tops, dress and skirt. The authors cover every aspect of creating a perfect finished knit product from tools to measuring, basic pattern making and type of knit fabric. There are many illustrations throughout the book to help you along with your project. It's as though the authors took projects and seemingly worked on them step by step while writing their book. "Sew U Home Stretch" is one of a kind. There have not been any books out about 'how to sew with knits,' except one which I found written in the 1970's, that guides you through all your sewing concerns as does 'Sew U Home Stretch.'
For those of you who have not sewn on knit fabric or who have had unproductive results doing so, I highly recommend this book.Vollständige Rezension lesen...
