Seven Brides - Cinemascope or not
This is one of our favorite movies of all time. Rolicking fun but certainly not PC these days, being based on kidnapping to obtain brides and all.......
It is unusual in that MGM hedged their 1954 Cinemascope bet by ALSO filmed it in standard full screen, for theaters without Cinemascope equipment.. NOT a conversion, but a total separate filming.
Usually you find this offered in DVD only as the Cinemascope version, as shown here. However that appears in a letterbox format on 16x9 TV screens. Awesome family
Seven brides for seven brothers is a clean funny entertaining movie. It is a great movie to watch relax popcorn after a hard time at work, boring politics and TV news. Highly recommended.

This film was basically a musical. The story line was fair. The singing was very good, the dancing was excellent.
