Hard Drive is about warranty!

If you are in the market searching for a 'die-hard' hard drive, you can pretty much give up at the beginning. While reliability is the main purpose why people searching for quality items, for hard drive, all you can get is just about the warranty. All electronics fail, so why are we only rely on 'brand-name' only? People around me have been criticizing Seagate for its poor-reliability, but hey, Seagate is the giant in this industry! This is my countless Seagate encounter after decades using computer. My digital storage is always planned and redundant; I have 2 x of the same drive in the computer, running RAID-1, plus online-backup which I am pretty sure my storages are in the safe hand, not just relying on the hard drive itself.

This drive runs quite, smooth and I am pretty much assured that I have at least 3 years coverage on it. If it fails? I would just buy another one, pop right into the PC and send this back for warranty. There is no harm keeping a spare, so why bother?Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Used seagate HDD

I bought a used Seagate 160GB SATA Barracuda Hard Drive ST3160815AS 7200.10 RPM Desktop HDD when my old Hdd (Western Digital) craped out (cause unknown). Everything went smooth loaded Win 7 just fine.

Sum + 1 = spare.

Purchased as a back-up drive and not currently in use. Old unit beginning to not sound normal. Current data backed up and ready to restore to new drive when necessary.

Drives are very quiet and work well. No problems so far.

I was looking for some cheap, older drives for an experiment I wanted to do. These fit my needs. Older drives but they still work OK. Quiet.

I bought this hard drive to resurrect my old desktop computer (I mostly use my laptop). It was inexpensive and was an almost exact match for the original hard drive that lasted 10 years. It works fine, and I would buy another again if I needed it. The speed is what is expected of a hard drive.

Good Deal, I say.

I am SUPER happy with the this HDD. I scan it for BadBlocks in Linux terminal and after about 50-55 Minutes its result came clean(ZERO bad block) which means it is in real Good health. What more can I say.

This hard drive work's, as stated by the maker's, it rock's, it's reliable. the best hard drive's on my Mac Pro and Intell PC's.

Fast and complete.

Needed an HDD with Lion when I got a 20" iMac for cheap at an auction. Followed online video instructions, installed HDD, turned it on, and it started right up. Simple process, and I'm happy.
