Great model
Basically good product, problem is the building guttering, not a good construction ,needs better. Can spoil the look of the building . If you build one suggest you consider modifying the "showroom " doors so they open. I display my collection of Land Rovers and am satisfied with the result. Time and patience required
Although a good quality product and reasonably easy to assemble I found that the instructions were a little confusing and that the diagrams did not always tally with the picture of the finished item. The showroom doors being shown on the diagram differ from the picture. The guttering was poor and fiddly to make. Card not thick enough and does not cut cleanly.
Very difficult to cut cleanly without leaving burrs around the edge, even with a new blade.
Picture of model different from the assembly instructions (windows of main display room in opposite wall)
You have to cut the glass doors of above before assembly to be able to open the room to put in a car to display.
The tabs and floor only butt up to surrounding pieces of card. Bad design.
Card is not stiff enough to keep flat/straight when glued.
I found it very difficult to follow the layout so that twice I cut the card when it was supposedly to be folded.Vollständige Rezension lesen
Great kit for an experienced card modeller
Nice period model. Construction is a bit complex but once you master the system it goes together nicely. Working out some of the stages was difficult at times and be careful not to cut where the wall tabs fold. I did find the roof need more strength so I added some card between the wall ends. I also modified the showroom does so they where open in order to fit a car in. I found mounting on a card base helpful too.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Very thin cardboard and cluttered A4 sheets, easy to cut where you don't have too. Metcalfe are much better quality!!!!!

Good - but not Super Quick to Build!
This makes a nice model of a small garage/service station/MOT depot for the period intended. A good quality kit but it does take time to build carefully to ensure the perfect end result. Recommended.
